Russian Rostov to raise funds for crash victims’ families

RUSSIA — The Russian-based football club, (known as soccer in the US) Rostov, will play a charity game next month versus Premier League side Portsmouth. The game will be played to raise funds for victims’ families of the plane crash on Sept. 7 that killed the Russian native top ice hockey team Yaroslavl Lokomotiv, among others, totaling 43 deaths in all. The game will be played at Fratton Park in Portsmouth Oct. 5, 2011.
