Flames Help Raise Money For Victim Assistance

Via the Flames: Calgary Flames players and prospects Mikael Backlund, T.J. Brodie and Logan MacMillan along with Flames alumni Sheldon Kennedy, Rene Corbet, Paul Kruse and Dwayne Hay will take part in the Wild Rose Hockey Challenge this Saturday, August 27th, 2011 in Cochrane, AB at Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre. Doors open at noon and game time is 2:15 p.m.The charity hockey game benefits four victim-of-crime assistance groups: Cochrane and Area Victim Services, Airdrie and District Victim Assistance Society, Bow Valley Victim Services Association and Chinook Arch Victim Services.

In its first two years, the Wild Rose Hockey Challenge raised $34,000 for four area victim assistance groups.  Tickets cost $10 and can be purchased securely online at www.WildRoseHockey.com or at any Bow Valley Credit Union location, the Wild Rose Constituency Office in Airdrie, or the Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre.
