Via the Brewers: Brewers Community Foundation Week, staged during the August 12-18 homestand, raised over $300,000 for Brewers Community Foundation’s charitable outreach activities. The total was announced jointly today by the Foundation and the Milwaukee Brewers.
BCF Week featured seven days of activities at Miller Park and in the community. BCF’s focused areas of interest are Health, Education, Recreation and Basic Needs, and the week’s activities supported and created awareness for initiatives related to these causes.
Among the highlights of the week-long activities was an “Ultimate Auction” that offered one-of-a-kind memorabilia items and unique experiences. The auction alone raised over $28,000. “An Evening with Hank Aaron” hosted by Hall of Famer Hank Aaron and “The Pink Tie Guy” hosted by Brewers Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Melvin also were among the activities.
Through Brewers Community Foundation, the Brewers continue with their pledge to serve as leaders in the community. Brewers Community Foundation harnesses the pride, passion and commitment of Brewers fans, players and other supporters to positively impact the lives of children and their families in Greater Milwaukee and Wisconsin.
Kudos to the Brewers for continuing to do great things for their community!
