Seattle Mariners: Mariners Care

The Seattle Mariners make dreams come true everyday in the Pacific Northwest through their “Mariners Care Foundation”.   This non-profit foundation raises a significant amount of money each year and continually benefits hundreds of charities in the area.On September 16th, Mariners pitcher Jamey Wright, infielder Alex Liddi and the Mariner Moose visited Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma.  This visit is part of the “Holland America Line” Get Well Tour.  Children surely had smiles on their faces after getting autographs and photos with the players and the Mariner Moose.  The children also received  a “Holland America Line/Mariners” sports bag, baseball, a stuffed toy and a get well photo card. “Mariners Care Foundation” has many intentional and purposeful initiatives.  This includes educational programs, youth baseball and softball programs, children and family health, community outreach programs, charitable fundraisers, statistical programs and MLB initiatives.  If you would like to get involved please contact the Mariners at 206-346-4000.
The Good In Sports salutes the Mariners for their dedication to the community.
