Texas Rangers Headed to the ALCS

The Texas Rangers became the first team to stamp their ticket to a Championship Series by defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 4-3 on Tuesday in St. Petersburg. Texas won the best of five series by a tally of  three games to one.

  1. That’s a great trivia question – what 6 players have hit 3 dingers in a playoff game. Adam Kennedy & Bob Robertson – only Angels, Pirates (and hard core baseball) fans would know that one.

Would have liked to see small market Rays advance, but Rangers definitely the better offensive team. With an underrated pitching staff.
